Dark Sector Comic Out Now

I remember seeing trailers for Dark Sector when it was first announced... back when it was set in space, and was set to be a noirish sci-fi stealth/action game. You know, back when it looked like it might actually be good; before it looked like some lazy Prince of Persia knockoff about a CIA agent with bad skin and a passion for imitating Xena Warrior Princess. But, hey, why deliver something unique and groundbreaking when you can cash in on an already-established formula, right?
Well, in an effort to fill in some of the game's backstory (shouldn't this, I don't know, be done by the game itself?), Digital Extremes has partnered with Top Cow to publish a prequel issue which establishes the background of game protagonist Hayden Tenno. Reviews of the story have not been particularly overwhelming for the comic's story, but it is receiving a lot of praise for the art by comics-legend Bill Sienkiewicz. The fact that Sienkiewicz has done the artwork for this one-shot is almost enough for me to buy it, as his style is really unique and lovely, but the plotline of a betrayed government agent developing superpowers seems generic enough to make me avoid it at the same time.
If this sounds like your cup of tea, the comic should be sitting on the shelves of your local comic shop now.
