Captain America Variant Cover Art Revealed

rosscapvariant.jpg

Dynamic Forces has released the preliminary artwork for the variant cover of Captain America #34, which will feature the unveiling of Marvel's super-soldier replacement. I'm always a fan of Ross's art style, even when it's only sketched (actually, I've always wondered what it would look like he inked and colored his drawings for an issue instead of painting them, so I like seeing the possibilities in his sketches). However, that's not all:

For the first half of November, DF will be donating 10% of its internet sales to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. Donations to the fund can also be made through the Fund’s website. As a reminder of current Fund activities, the Gordon Lee trial is scheduled to begin today in Rome, GA.

I didn't know there was a Legal Defense Fund. What are the defending against? Supervillian rights? Anti-Mutant legislation?

"Oh Lois, you SO don't want to know!"

Comic of the Week

Review: Stormwatch #1 Stormwatch #1, the first of DC's new 52 to feature LGBT characters (before the reboot, at least) is out to add a new cosmic dimension to the post-Flashpoint universe. There isn't much to be said for our beloved broship yet (though the last page shows a handshake between Apollo and Midnighter and promises a "Big Bang"), but the issue is a great gauge for whether or not you'll want to stick with the series to see the romance purportedly unfold....
