LGBT Character of the Week: Flatman
In a strage twist of fate related to last week's character, Living Lightning. Our LGBT poster boy this week, Flatman, came out because of Living Lightning's blase' reaction to accidently outing himself due to a misunderstanding regarding the GLA (Great Lake Avengers, not Gay/Lesbian Alliance) of which Flatman is a member. A mutant, Flatman claims to be have a doctorate in "stuff" and sounds like too many of my ex-boyfriends, good on paper, but lousy in...ahem...well let's just stick with looks good on paper.
Mostly used as comic relief, (like all the Great Lake Avengers) when Hawkeye first ran across Flatman, he had a sidekick nammed Ribbon. Heh, Flatman and Ribbon, and people wonder why I read D.C. over Marvel. As the name suggest, the Great Lake Avengers operates in our Northern Climes and one would assume has an affinity for lutefisk.

Boy Meets Hero by Chayne Avery and Russell Garcia
I'm enjoying Flatman's new outed status. Gay characters in comics are followed by doom and gloom, it's good to have a different perspective, a gay character you can kick back and make fun off
mm, did that come out right?
