LGBT Character Of The Week

Today we're getting a twofer, since you can't mention one of these guys without the other. The Young Avengers' resident couple, Hulkling and Wiccan, have been involved with each other since the comic's beginning, but their sexuality was only hinted at during the first few issues until they fully admitted it soon after. However, readers quickly picked up on the hints and there's been a section of the letters page in each comic which contains opinions both for and against the portrayal of gay heroes.
Not only are the two characters noteworthy for their open sexuality, but neither of them have been written with stereotypical behaviors, and their origins have rather spectacular ties into the rest of the Marvel Universe (no, I'm not going to tell you about them: you'll just have to read the comics for yourself) as well. While the Young Avengers comic is currently on hiatus, which in itself is a tragedy, you can easily pick up both trade paperbacks at most comic and book stores.

The characters may not be portrayed stereotypically, but do the rest of the male Young Avengers have "homo hair"?
If Marvel were really serious about having a non-stereotypical gay character, I think they could totally make Beast gay and no one would bat an eye. Plus, he's dreamy.
